Prayer Jeep
Prayer Jeep is an overlanding outreach of Pray Through It Ministries seeking to connect with those whose life experience lends itself more to finding God outdoors and through personal experience than in organized religion. Those traveling with us are spending time praying and learning in solitude and prayerfully ministering to those they meet along the way – just as Jesus did.
FIND REST
The laid back life of off-grid camping lends itself to casual conversations concerning the important things in life and many who find solace in the outdoors are looking for something that seemingly cannot be found in the business of day-to-day urban life.

Our Prayer Jeep Leaders have all experienced deep inner-healing through prayer and have been convinced that Jesus’ offer to carry your heavy burdens and give you rest and abundant life is at the heart of His Kingdom Gospel. If you stop by our basecamp, you will certainly hear us answering questions about God, sharing stories of inner-healing, and leading others to experiment with listening in prayer.
Share the Kingdom
But we don’t just retreat to the wilderness. Although Jesus spent a lot of His time “in lonely places,” He would often venture into the towns and cities to minister. So, following Jesus’ model, we will often venture out into a city and minister to those who are open to the possibility that God could meet them where they are and take them where they need to go. The gospel that we live and share is more than just one of forgiveness, it is one of restoration and transformation in this life and the next. It is one of abundant life and fellowship with a patient and loving God who calls us into our true self, created in His image.

This is all just a taste of the Kingdom of God that Jesus is inviting us into. And only those who become like a little child can enter into it, so whether it be walking a slack line between two Jeeps, juggling, twisting balloon art, face painting, doing “magic” tricks, playing an instrument, or any other creative street performances, you will often find us inviting you into our play so that you might remember what it was like to be curious and open to see things your adult eyes are trained to overlook.
The Jeep
The Chief Edition was only made in 2017 and in one of three colors (Chief Blue, Rhino, and Gobi), every Jeep Chief included a white hardtop and white graphics that travel from the bottom of the hood through the tops of the doors. Chief badging on the fenders and a retro “4 Wheel Drive” graphic on the rear gate complete the Chief’s throwback look.

The Chief was available in a two-door model and a four-door Unlimited model. Both come standard with a six-speed manual transmission connected to their 285-hp 3.6-liter V-6 engine with an optional five-speed automatic. There were only 3614 Chiefs manufactured and only 1,633 Blue Chief Editions manufactured world-wide.

The J30 Ursa Minor is a bolt on camper top that can sleep two up top and two smaller folks in the bottom. The top has room for both the integrated mattress as well as sleeping gear. It has two trap doors inside, allowing you to stand up or move from top to bottom without leaving the Jeep.

The rear cargo rack is a Teraflex Alta and we alternate between an OVS 270 and an ARB 2000 Awning Depending on our needs. It has solar to power the fridge and carries 8 gallons of water in the rear bumper. Don recently modded it so that the factory Jeep heat and AC now heats and cools the tent area s well! Stop by our basecamp, we would be glad to give you a tour!
